Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Scope & Definitions. This Policy applies to all purchases on the Leapstone AI platform (operated by Gradient Growth Learning OPC Private Limited). “Digital Products” mean our online Gen AI courses and related content delivered electronically. “User”/“You” means any individual who purchases or accesses our services. “Purchase” means payment for a course or service, and “Access” means granting use of the course after payment.
2. Governing Law. This Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable E-Commerce Rules. All disputes will be resolved under Indian law. For international customers, mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply to the extent required.
3. Acknowledgment of Digital Service. You acknowledge that our courses are intangible digital services delivered by electronic access. By purchasing, you consent to immediate delivery of digital content. You understand that digital products cannot be “returned” or “undone” once delivered. If immediate access is granted, you waive any statutory right of cancellation to the extent permitted by law (for example, waiving a 14-day cooling-off period where allowed).
4. No-Refund Rule. Except as expressly provided in this Policy or required by law, all sales are final. Once a course or digital product has been paid for and access is granted, no refunds, returns, cancellations, or exchanges will be allowed. This includes scenarios such as:
Change of mind or dissatisfaction (subject to statutory defect claims below).
Failure to attend or participate.
Course date changes, extensions, or alterations in curriculum.
We do not accept “buy and return” or “partial-use” refund requests for digital courses, as content is accessed immediately and can be retained indefinitely.
5. Exceptions (Statutory Rights & Errors). Notwithstanding the No-Refund rule, refunds will be issued when mandated by applicable law (for example, proven deficiency or misrepresentation under the Consumer Protection Act), or for legitimate payment errors. Specifically:
Deficiency of Service or Misrepresentation: If you can demonstrate a material deficiency in service (as defined in the CPA 2019) or that we misrepresented the course content, you may be entitled to a remedy (which may include a full or partial refund) in accordance with law. You must provide evidence (e.g. documentation or communication showing the deficiency).
Duplicate or Unauthorized Transactions: If you are charged more than once for the same order, or there is a fraudulent/unauthorized payment, notify us within 7 days. We will verify and, if confirmed, refund the duplicate/unauthorized amount.
Technical Failure/Non-Delivery: If you pay but cannot access the course due to a technical issue we are responsible for (e.g. platform error, system downtime), we will make a good-faith effort to restore access. If we cannot reasonably provide access within a short period, we may issue a refund. Claims must be made promptly and supported by screenshots or transaction IDs.
All refund requests under these exceptions must be submitted by contacting our support email (see Section 11) within 7 calendar days of the transaction or issue. We may require information such as course name, order/transaction ID, and a description of the problem.
6. Refund Processing. If a refund is approved under any exception, it will be processed to the original payment method (credit card, bank account, etc.) unless you expressly choose otherwise. Store credit or account balance refunds are not imposed without consent. Typical timelines are:
Processing Time: Refunds are initiated within 5–10 business days after approval.
Bank Clearing: It may take an additional 2–5 business days for your bank or card issuer to post the funds to your account.
Notification: We will notify you by email when the refund is completed.
We do not impose additional fees for refunds (beyond payment gateway deductions). However, if a customer-requested refund is approved, any original transaction fees non-refundable by the payment processor may be deducted.
7. Chargebacks & Disputes. Chargebacks (payment disputes) are strongly discouraged. Attempting a chargeback without contacting support first is not permitted. If you dispute a transaction through your bank, we may suspend your course access pending investigation. Please contact support first so we can resolve the issue amicably. Keep evidence of our access logs and communications (login timestamps, emails, messages) to assist in any dispute.
Merchants and payment providers typically side with the seller if (a) the refund policy was agreed to at purchase and (b) evidence of delivery (e.g. login access, content access logs) is provided. We will respond to any chargeback notice promptly with documentation proving service delivery.
8. International Customers. If you reside outside India, you agree that the sale is executed in India and governed by Indian law. However, if local consumer laws in your country require a refund or cancellation right beyond this Policy, those laws will apply to the extent mandatory. For example, EU/UK law typically grants a 14-day cooling-off period for digital purchases, which consumers may waive by consenting to instant delivery of content. By buying and accessing the course immediately, you voluntarily give up that cooling-off right as allowed. Always check your local rights: this Policy does not strip away any non-waivable rights afforded by law.
9. Changes to Policy. We may update this Policy at any time. Changes will take effect upon posting with a new “Effective Date.” The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies. We recommend reviewing this Policy each time you make a purchase.
